Wetherby Petanque Club sessions

Wetherby Petanque Club is a member of Yorkshire Petanque and Petanque England and is a section of the Wetherby Sports Association.

The terrain is always available, although membership of the Sports Association and the Petanque club is required for regular visitors.

Membership of the club is £20 p.a. which includes Wetherby Sports Association membership.

There are club sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the year starting at 1 pm (12 noon in winter).

In summer, evening and weekend sessions will be held if there is sufficient interest.

Club players hold tournaments on Sunday, many open to all players, including novices.

At all club sessions, you can turn up and leave at any time.

Boules and basic coaching are provided free of charge for visitors.

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf

Clever dogs are trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds they would otherwise miss and make a valued difference in deaf people’s lives.

A hearing dog will alert a deaf person when for example, the doorbell rings, an alarm goes off, all things people take for granted.

Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 1 pm till 4 pm.

Baby Boomers

Baby massage, music, dancing, sensory, newborn, toddler groups, and more.

Most of the classes in this area require pre-booking.

Classes are held on Tuesday from 9 am till 12:30 pm.

Toddler Sense

Unique in its delivery and with over 60 different lesson plans, the class session will have a new adventure to experience.

Each class starts with a free play section and has an everchanging set of equipment to explore – from bouncy castles to tunnels, soft play to tents and balance beams.

Classes are held on Monday all day until 4 pm.

Military Vehicle Trust

The Military Vehicle Trust (MVT) is an international organisation, and members are interested in military vehicles, clothing and equipment, particularly over the last century, when armies have become mechanised.

The MVT has branches throughout the UK, the Yorkshire area being just one.

They hold and support events from Spring to Autumn, with the occasional winter run out.

You don’t need to own a vehicle to join the MVT; just an interest is enough.

Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, starting at 8 pm.

Days and times may change, so it is advisable to check with the class organiser or contact the Wetherby Sports Association for details.
